Volunteer vacancies
HI Friends relies on the help and assistance from dozens of amazing volunteers for its events, activities and services to happen and which make a real difference to many who live in our community.
New volunteers are needed now and in the future and there are a wide range of opportunities as outlined below.
We also are also keen to hear from people who can provide support with the following:
*Hope Again Bereavement courses – providing support to those attending the two six week courses held annually.
* Community trishaw rider – taking older and less mobile people out for rides so they can enjoy being outside.
* Memory loss support group and Dementia Luncheon Club – helping the activity leaders to support those who are living with memory loss
* HI Rec Monday Club – an exercise club offering three activity sessions for older people. Volunteers needed to help with refreshments and general support.
* Event marshal – guiding participants at our regular fundraising running and cycling events which depend on the help of volunteer marshals.
* Fundraising events – being involved in a variety of events during the year, helping to organise, set up, clear up and many other tasks.
